Long time no see huh? The past couple of months have been rough for us to say the least, not even accounting for world events (I am so tired of living through historic events…) I’ve been hit with various aliments that has left me with very little energy after work to do the things I enjoy or indulge in my hobbies so naturally I haven’t had the energy to attend to my blog.

Which surprisingly is something I do enjoy doing, it’s just that I’ve developed a complex relationship with blogging thanks to social media. I used to blog a lot when I was younger but the vibe online changed and made me more hesitant to write as freely as I once did online. I started to keep a lot of my writing in my private journal because I was afraid someone was going to crawl out of the woodworks and harass us for simply existing and honestly I am so tired of living like that. So yeah, I’m starting a fresh blog. I won’t make any plans or promises for this one but I’ll try my best to keep it somewhat active.

Actually speaking of social media, I did finally leave the website formally known as Twitter for real this time. This is something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time but now that people are actually leaving and staying on Bluesky for longer than a week I’d figure now is the time to take the plunge. Bluesky is very much Twitter…2! but for now it’s alright, I like using it. I’m not really planning on using it more than I used Twitter, so I’ll mainly post art and the occasional random thought or whatever, but scrolling through feeds is nice and bsky actually has RSS support? It’s not the greatest but that makes it a lot more easier for me to keep up with my mutuals who’ve moved over there which I actually appreciate. I will say that I’m still skeptical of bsky in the long term, I suppose eventually it will succumb to enshittification as most popular social media platforms tend to do but I might as well enjoy it before it does.
