Spooky season has come and gone but don't worry, I've got some interesting stuff to talk about that has been brewing in my cauldron this past month.
News from Microgravities
Let's start with some housekeeping. I have not updated my website since September and for good reason: I'm completely overhauling it (again)! I won't update my website again until the overhaul is 100% complete since I don't want to have to go back and forth between the two versions. The current version is hand-coded while the new version is built using Eleventy so I rewrote everything from scratch for it. I'd really prefer to keep working on the new version even if means my live website won't get any updates in the meantime. That being said I'd reccomend following my Blog's RSS feed instead since I'm considering axing my website's feed, if you use a RSS reader that is.
I don't have a set date for when this overhaul is going to be done since my mental and physical health has been all over the place for the past couple of months. I'd say it's close to being done though, there's only one outstanding task I have to do that's really holding it back and it's a tedious one so I've been working on it in chunks. Everything else is either done or really easy/quick to implement. I want to have it done by the end of the year but I can't guarantee it will be. November and December have always been difficult months for me so I might not be able to get everything done in time. We'll just have to see how everything goes.
I'm still working on my other projects in the meantime, right now I'm focusing on the Cirque Condensed. It's also being overhauled but most of the work being done is revising and deciding which notes are ready to be published. Once all of my notes are checked then I can build the new version and publish it! I'm moving it over from TiddlyWiki to Quartz, since it's compatible with Obsidian which I use to manage my notes to begin with so add new stuff will be easier after the conversion is done. There will be new articles of course, since I've been promising that for a while now 😅.
Recent Artwork
October has been a good month for me art-wise. I've shifted to drawing to relax and to help soothe my anxiety which mean slower progress but I tend to make more interesting/experimental pieces. So there's more WiPs shots as I start pieces and slowly work on them. I really like the piece did of Beck and I also made good progress on Xyla's ref. I had to give up on a piece I really wanted to finish for mental health reasons, but aside from that I'm very happy with my art this month.
Personal Updates
It's been a lot of shit for us this month not going to lie. Thankfully working on my projects serves as a coping mechanism to me and is very therapeutic for me so despite the fact I'm going through it right now I'm still able to stay productive. Like I said before though now that we're entering November I can't guarantee I'll be able to maintain this level of productivity. Work is already proving to be exhausting and I'm still trying to pull myself together mentally from this past summer. If shit gets too rough I'll likely start taking breaks, so I won't have much to show. In that case I'll likely have some video game screenshots to share since I like playing Minecraft and using it as a world building tool.
